SHIPPING COSTS
We send all our gift boxes on a Trackable, Next Working Day Courier service (excluding Bank Holidays)
To ship to a majority of the UK our prices are as follows:
1 standard sized gift box costs £5.59
Larger gift boxes.multiple shipping charges to one address and some Highland/Scotland deliveries are priced individually at the time of ordering.
SHIPPING ABROAD: Unfortunately we currently only ship to UK Mainland.
DISPATCH INFO:
To ensure same day dispatch make sure your order is placed before 15:00. You can choose when you would like us to aim to deliver your gift, as long as it's on a standard working day. We dispatch gifts every day at 16.00 hrs Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays. All order will be dispatcehd the same day (unless of course you have specified a certain delivery date)and wlll be sent on a Next Working Day Courier Service and delivery will be between 8am and 4pm (exc Bank Holidays) .We only deliver to the U.K. mainland and Northern Ireland.
DELIVERY INFO:
Our gift boxes do not fit through a standard size letter box so please ensure that someone is there to accept delivery during courier delivery hours of between 8am and 6pm.
Should the courier service be unable to deliver, the parcel will either be left in a secure location or with a neighbour but if thi is not an option it will return to the depot .A card will be left to inform the recipient where their parcel has been left or how to arrange re-delivery.
It then becomes the recipient's responsibility to contact the couriers to arrange a suitable re-delivery date. The couriers will only attempt to re deliver twice before returning the parcel to us at Send Something Sweet. We accept no liability if delivery is not made due to the recipient not being at home, or if goods become unsuitable as a result of non-delivery. It is the responsibility of the sender to ensure someone is home to receive the gift. Once a parcel has been delivered/signed for, any discrepancy regarding delivery is passed over to the Courier. The couriers do not have to store your consignemnt once delivery has been attempted and if the recipeint does not contact them within the time frame stated on the card left then the parcel will be returned to us and you will have to pay a re-delivery charge if this happens. We recommended that gifts are sent to a work address if possible.
We will arrange delivery to the address you have specified when placing the order, we cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect. We regret that we are unable to accept orders for delivery to an address containing a PO Box Number, or from persons placing an order whose own address contains a PO Box number. We can only make a delivery to the address you request on the order. We are not able to guarantee the item will be delivered to the person named on the order. It is your responsibility to ensure the recipient knows the gift is coming on the day requested, the courier will only attempt to deliver, if it cannot be left secure or with a neighbour a card will be posted through the door and the recipient should then contact the courier direct to arrange re-delivery. If they do not contact the couriers within the stated time frame on the card the item will be returned to us. You will then have pay for the item to be delivered again or we will refund the original cost of the gift less the cost of the original delivery. In the case for deliveries to large businesses and Hospitals we can only guarantee the item is delivered to the address given and not to the person named on the parcel.
Although we try our hardest to maintain the time scales above there may be exceptional circumstances when these may not apply. This can be times when the Courier Service is very busy, like at Christmas or in bad weather conditions or in the event of you not supplying a full correct address, like a wrong postcode. In these events please contact us for more details as deliveries can take longer.
GIFTS CONTAINING ALCOHOL
You must be over the age of 18 to buy or receive a gift containing alcohol. We will decline orders for gifts containing alcohol if we have reason to suspect that the sender or recipient is under 18.
